AEMT or Paramedic

The advanced provider works a 24/48 shift schedule mainly with a BLS partner, at times will be working with another ALS partner.

Paramedic Students are encouraged to apply, we will work around program schedule with you.

The advanced provider provides patient care in accordance with KBEMS regulations and Halstead Fire/EMS protocol compliance. Advanced providers are to provide quality out of hospital care in a timely manner by safely assessing patients, performing advanced medical treatment to potentially avert life threatening emergencies and reduce morbidity; safely operate EMS vehicles including transporting patients to and from health care facilities; preparing and submitting reports; ensuring the stocking and safeguarding of vehicles, station, equipment, supplies and medications.

Minimum qualifications are Kansas Certified AEMT or Paramedic in good standing with no current investigation with KBEMS.

Power loads and Cots, Zoll X-Series cardiac monitors, IV Pumps, Lucas CPR devices, dopplers, and Control Cric kits.
