Paramedic, AEMT, EMT

Ellis County Emergency Medical Services is currently accepting applications for Paramedic, AEMT and EMT team members.  We currently have both full-time positions available.  Positions are Non-exempt under FLSA.  Full-time members work a Kelly Shift Schedule with the workday starting at 0800 hours.  Members work an average of 10 days per month.  Monthly overtime opportunities are available for all members with scheduling of sports standbys, transfers and open hours that become available at various times.  Benefit offerings for full-time members include medical, dental and vision insurance, earned PTO, 10 paid Holidays and Kansas Police & Fire retirement plan.  Pay varies based on position applied for and certification level of applicant. Hourly pay rates start at $16.51 for EMT, $18.22 for AEMT, $20.41 for paramedic. Consideration will be given for experience. We also provide a relocation stipend and hiring bonus to those that qualify! 

Minimum qualifications include:

• All applicants MUST be Kansas certified as an EMT, AEMT or Paramedic
• Must have a valid Kansas driver’s license and safe driving record
• Be 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
