Assistant EMS Director

Pottawatomie County EMS is seeking applications for the position of Assistant EMS Director.  This position assists the director with ensuring the effective planning, coordinating and utilizing department personnel to address the operational activities of the department. Provides leadership and operational oversight of daily activities. Ensures compliance with the different federal, state and local laws/regulations. Leads and provides coaching to the staff to achieve quality outcomes in patient care. Provides leadership in the department's education, quality and risk management program. Will occasionally provide direct patient care within their scope of practice.

Pottawatomie County EMS is a career department with 34 fulltime members as well as PRN staff. The County is staffed by 5 ALS ambulances in 5 stations across our service area. Pottawatomie County EMS responds to approx 2500 calls for service yearly.
